Mrs. Charlotte Diane Allen, age 72 of Portland, TN died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Allen was born August 30, 1948 in Spencer, WV the daughter of the late Bernard and Gladys Bell.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her son Frederick “Chuck” Allen (Raquel) of Portland, TN and her daughter Anna Marie Vidrine (Kevin) of Marrero, LA. A brother Raymond “Joe” Bell, two sisters Lois Boyd and Christine Nixon. Two grandchildren Kaleb C. Allen and Mallory K. Allen.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Allen who died earlier in January at Vanderbilt Medical Center as well. A brother Skipper Bell and a sister Shirlene Ridgeway.

The family has chosen cremation. There will be no visitation. Gilbert Funeral Home in honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Allen family. A memorial service for both Larry and Charlotte will be scheduled at a later date.
